Sangeeth Nritya Bharathi Academy was founded in the year 1969 by Vidwan S.C. Revanaradhya in the name of Sangeetha Bharathi Nritya mattu Kala Sangha. Now, known by the new name, Sangeeth Nritya Bharathi Academy is run successfully by Smt. Padma Hemanth, the director of the Academy. Padma Hemanth has gifted many assuring and talented dancers to the world of dance. Sangeeth Nritya Bharathi Academy students have won CCRT Central Government Scholarships, Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy’s Karnataka State Government Scholarships, State Ranks in highest exams equivalent to Masters in Dance of Akhila Bharatheeya Gandharva Mahavidyalay.
Team SNBA has toured across the country to perform in many prestigious dance shows and festivals. Smt. Padma Hemanth’s unique choreography for NCC cadets representing Karnataka and Goa Directorate to perform at Republic Day Celebrations at New Delhi before the honourable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi and bagging the banner was a noteworthy achievement and a big feather in the cap of Sangeeth Nritya Bharathi Academy. Performing for Indian Military force was a moment of pride for SNBA team.
At Sangeeth Nritya Bharathi Academy, workshops are organized every year for the benefit of the dance practitioners. World renowned Bharatnatyam Professional Dr. Janaki Rangarajan conducts Bharatnatyam workshops every year successfully at SNBA. Workshops regarding other supporting arts like Natuvangam, Yoga and introduction to Martial Arts are also being conducted by Veterans.
Sangeeth Nritya Bharathi Academy presents the title ‘Nritya Kalyani’ to the students who have completed their Rangapravesha and the title ‘Nritya Pratibha’ to the students who have completed their Gejje Pooje.

Padma is the Director of Sangeeth Nritya Bharathi Academy at Vijayanagar, Bengaluru which was founded by her father-in-law, late Vidwan Sri. S.R. Aradhya a few decades back. Now, it is almost 3 decades that she has been
teaching
this
art form to passionate students.
She runs it successfully with the help of her musician husband, Vidwan B.R. Hemanth Kumar and also her younger daughter, talented dancer, singer and actor, Sheetal Hemanth.
She has
many Rangapraveshams
and Gejjepoojes to her credits. Many aspirants have successfully completed their dance exams of higher ranks under her guidance both from KSEEB and also ABGMV boards and have bagged 1st rank. Many of SNBA’s students have won
Karnataka
State scholarship and CCRT Central Government Scholarship.
Recognising the yeomen service of Padma Hemanth, Women and Child dept., Govt. of Karnataka has bestowed her with ‘Kittur Rani Chennamma’ award.
She is also the recipient of ‘Nritya Nipune’ award by Karnataka Nritya Kala Parishath, ’Nrityakala Uttunga’ by Organizer Magazine, ‘National Vocational Excellence' award by Krist Foundation, ‘Sthree Ratna’ award by
International Women’s Enterprise, ‘Kala Ratna’ and many more.
Besides being a dance trainer, Padma Hemanth is one of the most sought after soft skills trainer in the Corporate. She is the director of Abhigna Consultants and Senior Faculty at Unique Consultants.
She has trained more than 1.5 lakhs of people till date across India and abroad.
Padma Hemanth is a multi-talented personality. She is a lyricist, writer, voice over artist and director. Most of SNBA’s productions are penned by her which has been appreciated by scholars and critics. She has written more
than 200
poems and many of them are being used in albums, TV titles and Kannada movies.
She has written dialogues for the Kannada movie ‘Olave’ for which she has worked as Associate Director as well.
Padma has the experience of working for ETV Kannada now called Colors Kannada channel. She directed many children programmes like Chilipili Antyakshari, Haadigondu Haadu, Nandanavana which were well received. In fact,

Antyakshari was the first reality show of ETV Kannada channel to get gift hampers. Padma has scripted and directed many telefilms and documentaries. She has the experience of having worked with veteran directors of Kannada film
industry
like T S Nagabharana, Nagatihalli Chandrashekar, P. H. Vishwanath, S. K. Bhagwan, H. R. Bhargava, Late K. V. Jairam, Vyshali Kasaravalli, C. Aswath and many more.

This Festival has solo dances, duets, trio and group performances. This festival provides an exemplary platform for a large number of enthusiastic performers.
The Festival is a good mix of different Classical and Folk forms. The award ‘Kala Shreshta’ that will be given to the eminent personalities in Performing Arts is one of the highlights of Kalashri Festival.
This award is honored and presented in grateful appreciation of artist's dedication and devotion to the divine Indian art field.
At SNBA, we not only teach Dance, but also we are always exploring the ways and means as to how the Dancing and Singing aspirants can be made to improve by subjecting them to enjoyable challenges and healthy competition.
One such very impactful and popular initiative is Kalasri Talent Hunt which is a fantastic forum and a format in which the aspirants showcase their talents to win the coveted award, 'KALA PADMA'. This competition has won the hearts of students and even the parents and they eagerly look forward to enthusiastically participate in the various Classical Dancing and Singing competitions. This has become a signature activity of SNBA.
